Hey, I have a green alienware mouse that has gotten a LOT of use over the years. I'm concerned with two things:
I'm worried the slides are rubbing down... but maybe it's in my head. Should I invest in new slides if I'm using an Allsop raindrop pad (it may give me less control than I want)
The sides buttons are broken =\ They're totally responsive, but I have to push them in uncomfortably far. Is there any way to adjust them back to their original sensitivity (so that when I tap it, the button registers) ---
Also, I hear mice like mine are pretty rare. How much could I sell something like this for (given it's condition)
i just got a brandnew 3.0 used it for a day then switched back to my mx510.although the 3.0 feels alot more precise i wasnt comfortable with the shape . now i just leave my 1day old 3.0 to collect dust
#14 you dont seem to understand what you're talking about what so ever.. the 510 is hands down more precise, only thing better about the 3.0 is the feel (personaly i cant use any logitech mice shaped like a 510, irritates my finger)
#1 the thing w/ the side buttons is because youve worn down the button itself. its a common problem in logitech mice (normally mouse1 or mouse2), ive never seen it w/ a microsoft mouse though. you can fix this by putting thin sheets of cardboard ontop of the actual mouse buttons on the inside so when you push down to hit them you dont have to push as far b/c the cardboard is there.
Officially the biggest Lupe Fiasco fan and biggest Lil Wayne hater on gotfrag.
the 510 is definitely NOT more precise. the 3.0 feels much more responsive and smoother. i dropped the 510 a long time ago for my 3.0 and will never change back.
It's all about frames per second for smoothness. NOT DPI! DPI is for moving your mouse less (high res gaming) IE 3.0's have had high frames per second since their inception.
I have three 3.0. One is the black alienware one that seems to be on its way out, but a simple change of shells will bring its awesome glossyness alienware style back =D
my mx518 is collecting dust as we speak never got used to the feel prefered the 3.0
Intellimouse 3.0a x09
