we just got like a cybershot or something. 7.2 mp and some weird features, and it does movies which is kinda cool. it works well enough for me, but yours looks nicer

This is plenty enough of a camera for me, fits in my pocket, easy to use on vacation, i may not be able to take amazing shots in the jungles of brazil on the run from crazy locals like you, but it works. :)
A follow up on this... i was recently tossed in a pool at a family gathering, pushed more like it. They didnt realize I had my camera in my pocket, and now its screwed up.
So I am waiting for them to replace it, lovely eh...
dang...I've messed with SLR cameras but have found they are too professional for my purposes, with the selection of lens and all, my dad used to be an avid photographer back when we lived in Russia, but with analogs..I've had my eye on the SD400 for a while, also the Canon Exilims, those look REALLY nice.
awww, I'm still stuck with our canon powershot A20, 2.1MP now THATS oldschool digital camera :P

Heck of a deal on that camera via dell. cheapest price I could find online, runs around $350 in brick and mortar stores.
It has super nice image stabilization, which is great for on the go pictures.
Bought it mainly for Gotfrag pictures of hardware, and my ebay stuff, though I am getting it in time for my vacation.
And if you guys ever have camera questions be sure to hassle Australia here on the gotfrag site or dpad, he is our resident go to camera guy.
