does firefox encrypt the password it saves for you? cuz i got a keylogger/backdoor trojan yesterday (from a clan page too, fcking noobs), and I'm wondering what will happen if it managed to take down Firefox's cache in the 5 minutes it took me to figure out what happened.
#3 change my password that is practically ingrained in my fingers from typing it into my email, facebook, myspace, and every forum account? you must be joking. hell, even if i change all of those I'll forget some minor one and they'll go in and wreck havoc. #2 is there any way to enable that encryption? And any links so I can read about this? Can't find anything on google.
edit: never mind, figured it out, kinda late though. hoping for the best :X
system restore, and go download anti vira from the web, clean out cache through firefox's options and change passwords to anything you may've been prompted to log on to from the time you got it-to this point
click tools - options - security - show passwords...
click show passwords - The page will remain open and you can see which sites - usernames and passwords you will be needing to fix so you won't "forget some minor one".
#9 and 11 are right. its easy to see all your pw, and afaik keyloggers don't show your screen or anything, so they would REALLY have to care about your email and whatever (which i doubt) to taek the time to get into it all. so i wouldn't really worry. just delete the program you got and let it go
