slow...

Ok so I just moved into my dorm room and the internet connection is great whenever i go on a game or use ventrilo, which is very seldom. The only thing that sucks about it is the download rate... I go onto limewire or bittorrent and it downloads at the max rate of 10kb/s. Now I'm pretty sure it's cable, but I am thinking that the CISCO Clean AGENT and the Symantec Anti-virus software is the stuff that is slowing the download rate. Anyone know how to bypass it?

you shouldn't use p2p programs in college, most colleges keep tabs on that stuff.

You will get kicked out for using P2P!

p2p is locked in most colleges, its illegal, especially limewire, plus it eats bandwith, they've probably set limits on bandwith for p2p networking

I remember reading a few things awhile back for masking your torrents as something else, but I have no clue where I saw it. Try searching around for awhile, you may just find those tips somewhere.
