i purchased a case for my budget system which i built the case was budget, too budget. the problem is that i the front I/O cables such as the USB and audio dont reach the motherboard, i just got the USB cables to reach the motherboard by putting it under the GFX card. but its touching the southbridge(650i ultra's SB heatsink is naked) it might melt the cables
I doubt the cables will melt from touching the SB. I know it gets hot, but it needs to get REALLY hot in order to have melting powers.
However, if you really need the audio and firewire (assuming all of your USB needs are satisfied already) then that silverstone I/O panel seems like a decent price (roughly $15 USD).
Is it Worth It?
