never have had a phone with bluetooth before, nor really had a use for such a headset, but now with my new job it would definitely be a plus.
i've done a little research and it looks like plantronics and jabra might have some good models. it appears that battery life and mic quality are the more important features, however design preference (in ear/out of ear, small/large, etc) is something i'm lost on. i'd like to avoid buying several headsets before i find what's actually good/functional, so please recommend something ;)
newegg links would help. price doesnt really matter. thanks.
I'm not too knowledgeable on this, but I think a lot of it is preference, so you may have to experiment...also, sound quality varies with what phone you're using I found, as my friend would complain about his motorola headset sucking badly all the time, then I hooked it up to my phone and we both agreed it sounded pretty damn good...that's what I'm using ATM and I'm fine with it, so I dunno...

I purchased this one after running the motorola H700. With the moto I could only be maybe a foot away with the headset or I was getting static. It also was uncomfortable to wear for more then 30 minutes. So I went and bought the Platronics 510...everyone I know who has used the h700 where I work at it. We spend 2 to 3 hours at a time dealing with call centers.
With the platronics I have roamed about 15 feet away and sometimes further. I sometimes leave the phone in the living room and I run into the office. Also the sound quality and the voice quality is amazing. I dont have people ask me if I am on the bluetooth or just on the phone.
Some phones have a better bluetooth signal then others. My razer seemed to be okay and the krzer was great. The best I have had so far has been the Q9m. I love that phone because it comes in handy to take notes on.
alright thanks... i was actually initially looking @ the h700, but got some feedback similar to what you guys have said (very mixed), so i started looking for some other models.
#3 i will be using the headset with a blackberry 8800.
