Hey, I was wondering if the D-Link DGL-4100 10/100/1000Mbps GamerLounge Broadband Gigabit Gaming Router 1 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 4 x 10/100/1000Mbps LAN Port is worth the money...? I currently have a linksys BEFSR41v4 (Etherfast® Cable/DSL Router) and I seem to lag every few seconds. Also my network seems to disconnects and reconnects after a second or two. My computer is clean from spyware and all so it cant be anything harmful.

link for the d-link : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp..

link for the linksys which I'm using currently : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp..

If so what other router would you suggest and please keep it wired since I dont need a wireless router.

i have the DGL 4300 and i love it..

*EDIT: just noticed u said u dont want wireless.. so yea.. the reason why it prolly disconnects is you dont have the setting priorities configured to CS or anyother game that you have running.. ( MY OPINION)

Please do not get a D-Link. I've had 2 of them and both of them dropped their connections about 5-10 times a day. I got my Linksys WRT54GS and it solved all my problems :) I never looked back.

I also have the DGL-4300, it's actually the best router I've owned. It's been on for more than 2 months and no connection drops. DGL-4300 FTW.

#1, have u tried contacting your isp and asking them to do a line test? it might not be your router, but the router you want looks very nice. i would personally get the wireless version though, just in case someone ever needs it around you. =]
someone buy me a E6600 plz. thankS!

I have a wired router at the moment. My connection is fine also because I've tested it and I get around 24mbps @ 30mbps which my isp provides me with and 4mpbs up @ 5mbps

Call the D-Link Support line they've help my neighbor out with his crap.. being he wont pay me to do it.. their support is amazing.. just make sure you have everything in front of u when they ask you questions and they will also go step by step guidelines to fix ur problems..

#5 OH i dont know.. maybe UDP's and TCP's and if you have the Gamefuel part.. you have to configure that for the games you play so that all of your download/upload go to ur games instead of other "illegal torrenting for example" and maybe MSN and etc. etc..
