everytime i go to the bios and change the settings and save and exit the computer would turn off for 2 secs, then turn back on (it will be able to log into windows if i don't press delete to go to bios menu). when i go to the bios again the settings will be saved but is it suppose to turn off and on like that for this mobo?

I have a p35c-ds3r which is very similiar except it can support ddr3 and my mobo also does the same thing you described above it is perfectly normal. Had my mobo for almost a year with an over clocked q6600 and memory. Mine mainly does that only when i mess with voltages or when ocing my processor but sometimes just by looking at something and exiting. Wouldn't worry about it.
