lol?? i have always thought that intel > AMD, price/perf is the best imo.. nvidia is the way to go, i used to have a ATI radaeon, but nvidia has such a nice panel for you to make changes easier, so in conclusion....
i agree with #3 :D u mean amd vs. intel and not pentium :D amd is cheaper but intel better atm. if u buy an intel buy core 2 duo or better beacuse older procesors from intel are waste of money :S
Go intel for your cpu, duo or quad and go ati for your gpu. BTW for gaming a core 2 above 2.4 isn't going to make much a difference in fps unless you're running ridicoulously low res and low graphics settings. I'd say either get e8400 and a p35 motherboard or a q6600 and overclock the quad on a good p35 or p45 chipset motherboard.
AMD is only surviving because they bought ATI which has real nice video cards out at the moment and have low CPU prices, the performance is no where near however compared to Intel's CPUs..
