Already ordered most of the parts, expecting them on monday:
CPU - E8500 GPU - EVGA9800GTX 512MB MOBO - ASUS P5N-T deluxe RAM - OCZ DIMM 2X1GB DDR2-1066 Reaper HPC 5-5-5-15 HDD - WD RaptorX 150GB 10.000RPM PSU - Thermaltake toughpower 700W(I wanted to get the corsair 620 but it wasn't available and the price for this one was nearly the same) CASE - Antec 900 COOLING - Zalman CNPS7700
The total price is around 1350€.
I'm going for 3.8 or maybe even 4.0 on the 8500 if it's stable and doesn't run too hot.
it cost me like 30€ more. Prices here are weird, you can get some components cheaper and others are more expensive. EDIT: 30€ = very little, my job pays well enough for me be to be able to spend a little more for a .16GHz and .5 multiplier increase
#11 yeah in 3 or 4 months I'm planning on getting another one depending on how it performs
Also, I'll probably end up getting the cooler 7, the zalman one works for core 2 duo's but you have to buy a separate piece to be able to fit it on the board. Obviously the product specifications mentioned none of this, I just happened to find out while browsing reviews on a hardware site so I'll have to return it.
Wow, shut up kid. From seeing your posts and recommendations and things of the like, it is clear you giving anyone tips and pointers on their builds is a waste. You're an imbecile.
#1...going 3.8 or even 4+ Ghz should be np...however...it highly depends on your mobo...get one of those ASUS R.O.G. mobo, then you will can for sure go for 3.8...but you are probably fine with this mobo

I got an aftermaket cooler for the cpu, just hadn't mounted it yet when i took the pics, now it's mounted and i have beter OC'ing perspectives. I've also switched the RAM for 2GB of corsair dominator, this bit is awesome because I ordered DDR2-800 on the website and somewhow i ended up getting DDR2-1066. They must of packaged the wrong one so I've ended up with better RAM for a lower price :)
#26 A little bit of everything, CoD4, Oblivion, hopefully stalker clear sky when i go SLI, sins of a solar empire... Movie watching, music, web surfing; just your standard all purpose build with a little more cash put into it than most people who build on a budget.

If it is a lot more, i would just get a e8400, you might be paying a lot more for the extra .5 multiplier.
besides that, everything looks good!

id do the research to make sure the mobo supports 45nm.
nvidia and intel are all angry at each other. Intel wants rights to sli and nvidia wants 45nm core information for theire nforce mobos.
not to say that an nvidia chipset cant run 45nm core, it just might not so make sure before you buy.

Arctic Cooler 7
You're planning to buy another 9800GTX later right?

It's so easy!
....ROFL. Waste.

it's a nice build but what do you plan on using that computer for?
