Well after a few weeks of research and advice I finally ordered the parts, and I got the monitor too.
Intel Q6600 Coolermaster RC-690 case (it was between this and the 900 but I liked the look of this one more and it was cheaper but still had everything I was looking for) G.Skill 4gb(2x2gb) kit pc26400 800mhz 2x 500gb WD sata 3.0gbs hdd's for raid 0 arctic cooler freezer 7 pro msi 8800gts (g92) 512mb gigabyte P35 DDR2 GA-P35-DS3L mobo corsair 520hx psu pioneer dvd burner windows vista home premium 64 bit samsung 2253bw 22" LCD
I bought from 2 different sites because of overall price difference. Also, ClubIT guaranteed g0 stepping on the Q6600.
In total with taxes/shipping I spent about 1580$
I plan to OC the proc to at least 3.0 if not 3.2 or 3.4
Looks good to me, although I would go with Vista 32-bit over 64-bit. I still don't think the time is right for the average person to jump to 64-bit computing.

Same here. I ran x64 Windows XP at work, and it caused me nothing but compatibilty issues. Switched back to x86 and everything is a-ok. sure, you lose 750mb of RAm usage, but RAMs so cheap now, it doesn't matter too much.

thanks~
Q6600 might not be the best right now, but once more games start using 4cores, you'll see a big improvement.
9.5/10
Don't forget the fans to overclock your Q6600, also try to get the G0 version and not the B3 version. The new G0 is so much better.
I said in the original post
1) I had gotten the arctic 7 freezer pro for the cpu cooling and
2) I bought the G0 stepping from ClubIT because they guaranteed it :D
Thanks.
