help with hard drive choice

getting a new laptop harddrive, need to decide between 2, one has 16mb buffer but 150Mbps while the other has 8mb buffer 300MBps. same price, which is better?

It is a toss up if you think your going to need more than 150 mbs get the 300mbs but if you don't need 300mbs get the 150mbs because it is faster although it probably won't be too noticeable as i have two different hds with different buffer rates and the performance difference is very small.

one is S-ATA 300 (aka SATAII), one is S-ATA 150 (aka SATAI). I notice that the SATAII drive in my pc is much faster than the SATAI, but not twice as fast as it could theoretically be. I'd go for the 300.
