Hello, I have a new build ready to be ordered, as follows:

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp..

EVGA GeForce 8800GT 512MB
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp..

CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX ATX12V V2.2 550W Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp..

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz Processor
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp..

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) Memory
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp..

Seagate 320GB HDD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp..

Total: $741.94

I currently have the aforementioned HDD, mobo, and RAM in my current build, so I know those are great. As for the other components, what could I modify?

Edit: Okay, I updated my build with the E8400; it wasn't much more and I assume I can get much more out of it.

perhaps you should get the e8200 cpu, it's only $5 more and you can overclock it better with a cheap cooler. hello 4ghz

Interesting, so the E8200 is easier to overclock because it's 45nm? It's been awhile since I've built anything.

lol maybe i should order my components in the US ^^ for that price in euro's i can only get a simple text editting desktop computer ^^ xD

ONTOPIC: maybe you should consider a more advanced CPU cooler, if you're into overclocking

The E8200 is a better overclocker and its 45nm so it will run cooler meaning higher clock speed. Looks fine other than that.
