That's pretty good, should keep it at that.
If you want a better GPU, you can get the 8800GTS 512mb (only the 512mb one)

EVGA E-GEFORCE 8800GTS 670MHZ 512MB 1.94GHZ DDR3 PCI-E

It's only 9 dollars more than 8800gt, will it actually be a whole lot better?

Get the Q6600, it OCs VERY EASY on the mobo you are getting.

e8400 cheaper than Q6600, and faster than it in benchmarks. 45nm technology for more overclocking room if thats your forte.

I'd go for the E8400, way better OC possibilities, and a lot faster in games. C2D is fine for the games your gf plays. They won't be using 4 cores @ all, so c2d is enough. E8400 is the best choice then, 0.16 Ghz slower then E8500, but that costs a lot more, so I'd keep the E8400.
About graphics card, what Khaos1337 said, go for the 8800GTS 512, and yes, only 512, it has the G92 core, same as 8800GT, the 8800GTS 320 and 640 got the G80, that isn't performing as good as the 512 by far. Difference between 8800GTS and 8800GT is about 10~15%, so not a really big difference, especially not very noticable in games like Sims and WoW, but I'd take it anyway, difference is only 9 bucks, so thats affordable ;).

The rest looks fine 2 me, very good mobo, Gigabyte owns with P35 chipsets, so ur good with that, HDD looks fine, case is good, everything looks fine except for the dvd-rw. I'd take the Lite-On LH-20A1S, one of the fastest, and prolly faster then the LG and very affordable.

Sorry for the big text ^^
