Just built a new pc, turned it on and it fails to post, nothing even comes on the screen, All the fans turn on, the hard disk spins, the drives work, ive replaced the mobo, fiddled about with the ram and checked the connections countless times. Im trying to load the pc up using onboard graphics which are set to default on the mobo im using. Anyone got any ideas?

Check there arent any mobo mounts shorting it out. I had the same problem once, and it was caused by this.

when i did my first build the same thing happened to me. i found out my problem was with my jumpers on my HD, i had it running alone on an IDE cable and set it as master, but turned out that caused it to do nothing, whereas i need to remove the jumper completely. try fiddling with that a little.

but yea, same thing here, all power good, everything running, but nothing came up on my screen.

Sounds like a good diagnosis. Seen the same thing happens likes of times before. Quite often, its so easy to drop a screw into the case, and it gets wedged tight under the motherboard and shorts it out. Loosen your motherboard and see if anything rattles underneath.
