You don't want to try a hard pad, trust me.. I have done the same thing like 5 times during my gaming hobby and every time I have quickly gone back to cloth. :)

Seriously, if you really want a hard pad, take the S&S. I have had three of them.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the hard pad. I've had the fUNC pad and the Razer whatever pad and I didn't like them both. I would stick to cloth.

if you really use low sense then you wont be able to use hardpads good because they are too small. you would have to be lifting your mouse up alot of times and you would run out of room(mouse space) alot.

try another cloth pad instead.
lll llllll

if you're going for a pad for low sense, go with the DKT pad like #3 said, they last longer than steel series pads anyways

although #3 seems to be a fanboy of Everglide, they do make good products :D

how does the everglide monstermat compare to the qck+? frictionwize, size, durability?

Well #8, you don't HAVE to endorse the company that makes your product, it's just logical... though this guy did ask for a hardpad... so maybe someone should tell which steel series one is the best? any everglide will be overall better than the qck+, just blindly buy one and you won't be disappointed... unless it doesn't fit on your desk xD don't buy the monstermat, go for the DKT

#9: The Monstermat is 444x355mm, whereas the QcK+ is 450x400mm and the Titans are all thicker than the QcK+.

Frictionwise, I hear the Titans have somekind of a coating to it and therefore have less friction when new.

Durabilitywise, I hear the Titans last longer.

#12: I think someone made a guess that the Fnatic edition has a slightly different weave. I think it was Tetsu.

Personally, I've been thinking about buying the Titan GamingMat. That is, the middle-sized version. I just don't see a need for 40cm width.

Pretty much. But what happened to you wanting a hard pad?

I had the Steelseries S&S pad, loved it! I got the QcK Heavy because I didn't have enough room! =P

is there a big difference between the fnatic and the dkt, like which would you recommend more?
#14 what mouse do you have, and low/high sense when you used the S&S?

#15: Both of them are good. One being endorsed by DKT and the other by Fnatic, all of whom are rather reputable. After all, Fnatic is sponsored by Razer, so if they didn't like the Titan, surely they would pick one of the pads from Razer instead.

#15, I had a G5, then it broke, so I got a Copperhead. My sensitivity was around 3 then. I played UT2k4 at LAN's, and my mouse would always run off my mousepad when I played! So I just got a Deathadder and QcK Heavy! :D

yes #20 I agree Razer DA and Destructor is a great combination. If you wanna try hard pad's here's my suggestions.

1. The Steel Series 5l great design it incorporates cloth with plastic I have one for sale if intrested pm me on irc #faceLIFT

2. http://www.xraypad.com/
xraypad actually has some great plastic/hard pads I love there eswc edition mouse pad very sick.

3. Razer Destructor very very nice pad and it comes with this canvas hard case to transport your pad to lans and such.

4. http://www.func.net/
Func has some great hard pads as well The F-series smooth XL is a very very nice pad.

5. http://www.xoxide.com/revoltech-gamepad.html

Revoltec looks decent good price fairly cheap and It's a pretty good size.

My 3 favorites out of this list are the Razer Destructor obviously because that's what im using now, then the SS 5L, and the x-ray pad eswc edition (very sick pad).

S&S = best hard pad by SS. I have both the SP and S&S (never tried the SX) and truly think that S&S is the better surface, but it's all preference in the end.

The everglide pads are extremely nice. I've owned a load of cloth and hard pads. The Fnatic Monster Mat from everglide is by far my favorite cloth, over the QcK Heavy, Plus, and Supermat.

#22 I thought so as well when I got the SP. But when I really tried it for a few days and after you get used to the difference, the SP allows much sicker and faster shots, while keeping the same control...

Anyway, add QpadCT to the list, that's also a great pad. It's like a hardpad, just soft...

just sick :D

If you're low sens you don't really need a hard mat for extra precision, but if you are mid to high sens you probably do. I play at windows 6, dpi 1600 and steam 4 so I generally stick with hard mats. Now trying out razer destructor; low friction surface, high speed low drag. Before I've had icemat v2 which I think is a good hard mat except its more catered to low and mid high sensitivity players. Razer exactmat is a good choice too, you can get one for $25 shipping included of the web. I'd say speed side is ever smoother and lower friction then the destructor but exactmat may wear down fast if you use it alot. Well that my 2 cents and that's pretty much all the pricy mats I owned.
