hi guys, my father is having trouble with his dell pc. ever since it was updated to sp3 we have been having problems with the famous blue screen of death. i tried to then boot into safe mode but another blue screen pops up. he also tried to run the boot disk that comes with dell but no luck. is there anyway that i can get back into windows?
help is very appreciated

n1ck, it's possible that some issues that were buried came up as he was updating, seems like a malfunction, you'd probably have to end up reformatting if you can't get your computer to boot up in safe mode to correct it
if he's getting the blue screen, that doesn't necessarily mean its a corrupt file. what does it say when he has the blue screen? there should be something like DRIVER_IRQL or something like that. figure what that is and you can figure out if its a hardware, or corrupt file thats causing this.
it depends what the blue screen says when it comes up. the blue screen can mean a serious problem or can mean something small and simple like a driver problem. if u cant figure anything out then just reinstall/reformat the pc with your windows disc or your computer manufacturers restore disc.
