Hey i have some question about your personal opinion about this stuff: Steelpad 4D or Steelpad S&S?(i've been using 4d for 4 years and i loved it but now i just bought an S&S and i'm still getting used to it feels like the mice is on ice xD) Steelpad S&S or Steelpad Qck? ( this one i think its up to hard plastic or cloth however s&s is far more expensive)
Another thing do you think this is the best combo: ie 3.0 + steelpad s&s + padsurfers steelpad/hyperglide i've been searching and this combo is the most used by all top players sk/nip/team3d/...! however lots of top players also use qck+ what do you think?

i have the s&s and love it. alot of what ur asking is personal preference but the 3.0 would work well with the s&s + the sk edition mouseskates. i used to use the 4d never really liked it. s&s is more precise and i always like the steelseries mouseskates. plastic > cloth imo. :D
yeah i guess i'll have to adapt to S&S because my 4D was 4 years old i think it was time for its retirement xD ! so i tought the best option was S&S, and yes u're right cloth and plastic are way too diferent to compare! i'll try to work it out with the s&s =)! i know it won't make me a top player or everyone would be a top player if a "top perfect combo existd" my point was if u think that all things play ok together example i heard 5G mice works very bad on s&s!
if you go back 5 years up to this point the most common mouse used by top3 teams at any big lan is the microsoft intellimouse optical 1.1 which to this day is also the most common mouse used by top players be it the original, se or ss format. you should also take into consideration that had sponsors not kicked in f.e. fnatic&razer there would be even more players at the moment using this mouse.
the microsoft intellimouse explorer is a close second and 3rd place goes to the microsoft wheelmouse optical which is followed by a distant logitech mx518.
as far as mousepads go the most dominant mousepad used to be the func afterwhich the S&S took over. At this point however more and more players prefer cloth and top3 teams hardly have more than 1 player with a hardpad.
* im not trying to point out that these are the best mice/mousepads around im simply pointing out the pattern which is what I think you were looking for Hellfowler.
thanks a lot for ur answers... #7 u got the point i've been searching and cloth pads are taking over...hard pads are not so precise as cloth pads! yea the func is the same as steelpad 4d and i really like steelpad 4d it gives u control in the game on the icy steelpad s&s maybe its me who can't get the touch for s&s i'm going to buy qck+ i tried one and at the first touch i enjoyedd it much more than s&s in someway feels similar to 4d
#11 Id truly suggest the QCK Heavy, as the new ones have a better weave and of course are thicker which is really nice. Also I used for the first time a QPAD UC, and in all of my time playing this game and the 20+ cloth pads ive used, the QPad UC beats them all, by leaps and bounds

As for comparing plastic and cloth, it's a pointless waste of time, the two are way too different.
As for 3.0 + SS, whatever the pros use doesn't matter, it won't make you a CPL Winner. Use what you feel best using, what you kill best with.
Personally, I like Krait + QcK, but it's not like I have tried much else.

the qck is an awful mousepad, especially the heavy. it is just a supermat w/ a steelseries badge on it.
