So I just got my new X-Fi XtremeGamer and hooked it up to my PC, I joined Vent in order to scrim with my CSS team, and oh no, I have no microphone. I cannot get it to work at all.
I'm on Vista, I've tried Line-In, Microphone and "What U Hear" all SB X-Fi things under recording devices in Vista.
you need to go into the control pannel go to sound options and change them all so that ur sound card is on all of them. I would amagine that you defult sound if coming from your mobo, thats why it isnt picking it up.
Also try 1.) Make sure mic isnt muted on the headset 2.) Make sure ur mix isnt muted in the sound mixer

That should work :)
go into your control panel and turn you mic volume up through sound.
then play with your user panel for the xfi till you find the right one.
Its gonna irritate (edited for forums, lol) you , but once it works, the card is pro.
