Guys which one? Asking those who already had the mice, i'm used to the da on mantis speed already which is like 5mm~ But no neg accel plz, i HATE it... My sens is 30~40cm/360, it depends~
If you don't like surfaces like the one of an MX518, you won't like Ikari Optical's surface neither. You'll sweat on every mouse (at least I do), but the only one that doesn't disburb (so much) is an IMO 1.1 in my case from what I remember. I used an IMO 1.1 at the end of 2005 last time, I think. That's why I get a (new) IMO 1.1 the day after tomorrow because I want to see, if I won't sweat by using it when I play really long. I mean a little bit more than 5 hours.
B2t. From what I can remember "Tetsu" reviewed both Ikari, Optical and Laser. He said they've got terrible tracking, but I don't know.
Lol, i guess he cant live with high lift-off, but i can, 4mm is okay to me~ Btw, i totally hate neg accel, no neg accel pl0x~ T.T They said the laser is more responsive sue to the better buffering rate, is that true? Or is that a biased opinion? My sens is mostly 30cm/260, am i a low-sens? mY cs:s sens is 6/11, 450dpi, ingame sens 3 Whats that sens roughtly? ?/360 Btw, to top is sliperry, i dont mind it, cause i grip with my thumb/ring/pinky~ Top finish doesnt matters to me, but the da uses those horrible plastic on the sides damn that!
I hope the optical ikari has no neg accel, i cannot live with neg accel... So now, still, which to get? T.T Laser or Optical, help please...
Laser definitely.. good tracking+shape+low lift optical has insanely high lift
and no they don't have terrible tracking #3 lol it just depends on what surface you use it on i used the ikari laser on the dkt everglide (clothpad just like the mantis speed) and the razer destructor (hardpad) and i don't get any tracking problems with my fast swipes.
Good to know. Even if I never thought about lift-off distance. I don't know how much of it an MX518 has (mouse I've got yet). However, I didn't know there are differences between mice or surfaces concerning to lift-off distance.
Btw, a interesting question, Lets say, the optical starts having neg accel at 40cm/360, wont the laser stop tracking at 30cm/360 already? I mean, wont the optical track at higher speeds without facing malfunction speed(neg accel, skipping, stop tracking) then the laser?
I've owned a G5 as well as a 518. Everybody talks poorly about laser mice, but to be completely honest, the laser tracked better (G5) then the 518 does. The lift off distance is the best feature.
i had the optical one for like 3 days then i returned it( huge liftoff---thats my personal opinion, dont attack me.) exchange with the laser one and i dont have any problem with it( my ie3 ss is my backup mouse now.) if you want choose between optical and laser go for the laser one.
Get the laser the optical sucks because of the high liftoff. The thing with any laser mouse is they are good, but if you use low sensitivity you may have tracking issues, also lasers have more tracking issues on different pads in comparison to topical. If you're having a tracking issue with a laser mouse its most likely your mousepad
I use like 40cm/360, btw, i thought the laser ikari has better tracking speed then the ime 3.0? If people can use the 3.0 for low sens, why not the ikari??

get the laser, it DOES pick up really fast movements #6.. just depends on the surface
laser has REALLY low liftoff
Lets say, the optical starts having neg accel at 40cm/360, wont the laser stop tracking at 30cm/360 already?
I mean, wont the optical track at higher speeds without facing malfunction speed(neg accel, skipping, stop tracking) then the laser?
edit, spell error
If yes, why did yopu ditched it?
Excluding the cable?
If people can use the 3.0 for low sens, why not the ikari??
