Wutsup, not sure if I'm in the right section but I need advices for my problem. I just bought a new comp 8400 cpu, 8800 GTS , 4 GB ram and a 20' Samsung LCD screen ( 3 ms )

With my last big screen CRT , I was able to full screen (800x600) and put -freq 100 in lunch option, so my game was running smooth and full screen. Now with my new sreen, what resolution of reforce and -freq I should put ?

If I play with ''normal'' screen in cs option, I have two black lines so its not full screen, if I put widescreen, I have to pick the 1600x1200 resolution and my game isnt smooth at all.

Thank you in advance

set the hertz the same as your monitors hertz
right click on desktop> properties> settings> advanced> monitor

but it doesn't matter as you wont be able to tell the difference.

1600x1200 isnt a widescreen resolution. nice try tho.

and most LCD's have a 75Hz cap. which is really all you need considering Hz isnt as important as the monitors response time(which is buLLshEEEzy anyways).
