i just broke the cpu accidently, because of the pins got knocked out. so i am pretty much screwed, if i try to use it, my PC wont even boot up lol. so i dont know what to do because i cant return it even though i just bought the build a week ago (i lost receipt + original container for the cpu).\\
i would really appreciate some recommendations for a new CPU that is not too expensive, not too cheap, yet provides a great performence, durability, and quality.
Ok i would help you but the fact that youre obviously a muslim and that you have your birthday set as september 11, 2001...I feel sorry for your pathetic ways.

#5 makes assumptions about people's faith from their birthdays. i dont put up my real information because people like you make judgements from age. im 16 though, so whatever.
and since im obviously younger than the rest of you old guys, i dont have a job yet so i cant afford expensive hardware...today i tried returning the mobo and cpu but i couldnt becuz Fry's doesnt accept broken returns. so i can keep the mobo and buy a new CPU, or sell the mobo and give it to the poor and not have a computer.
QUOTE:yeah, i originally had a 939 amd athlon 64 3000+ and since im obviously younger than the rest of you old guys, i dont have a job yet so i cant afford expensive hardware
Im just messing with you, im still on 939 :D
AM2 is a good cheap solution, and can perform just as good as Intel rigs on stock.

OEM version but you already have the fan already so its fine
The CPU only goes in one way then you just clamp it down...
AND everyone knows to save receipts / original boxes for computer parts... lol
and plus I agree with #5
