As long as the technology is sufficient, it comes down to what you like.
Habu has the same shape as DeathAdder, just that DeathAdder has a better sensor. And DeathAdder lacks the option of changing the position of the side buttons.
I personally love the MX518. It feels great and never fails me.
But between your choices, I think 3.0 is a good mouse. Cheap, and effiecient, although the mouse side buttons feel really cheap. Deathadder might be the better choice then, since it does have the better side buttons and feels nice
Logitech MX400 ftw, best buy was sold out of 518s :P I've been pretty happy with the mouse for about a year now. Its a laser mouse and works on pretty much any surface aside from glass. It doesn't have the little switch program button like the 518 which is a good thing for me because I accidently hit it all the time. http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&..
It depends on whether you use high or low sensitivity - wrist aim or move your whole forearm. Copperhead feels like an aimbot but malfunctions if you move it too fast. IME 3.0 felt very accurate with the usb overclocked to 500hz and never malfunctioned on me, though I returned it because I didn't feel like it was worth it to pay $40 more for that over my a4tech x750bf. If I had the choice though between the two mice I'd choose the IME 3.0. The logitech mice don't feel good for me.
Deathadder has bad grip and since the shape is contour your hand has to be the perfect size to be able to hold it comfortably.
Ive tried using the g1, death adder, IME 1.1 and the IME 3 if you prefer heavy mice i think the DA or the g5 is great.
I just recently bought and am using a razer krait for my preferece. It's one of the lightest mouse I've ever used and glides well on the mantis Speed surface.
The DA has a great solid feel to it. It's just too heavy for my taste tho
I bought the Logitech MX Revolution some time ago, it's so awesome I can choose to shoot someone between his eyes or in his nose now lol. And it has it's on battery loader thingy. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_po..
Ive owned both the old mx518 [1600dpi] and i now use the newer mx518[1800dpi] Ide have to say the newer one is imo the better version for sure. Neither 1 i could say ever failed me in any gaming situation. I also had a copperhead and a lachesis, the copperhead i loved but died. The lachesis i bought and hated it, for a 80 dollar mouse its shape is terrible imo on top of that it skips anytime i take it off the steelpad4d ive been using for years. Copperhead was a better shape for me anyways.
Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. Mouse is insane, 400dpi and overclock it to 500hz. You dont need a "gaming mouse", anything higher than 400 dpi is ridiculous for cs. don't fall for the gimmicks.
i tried to be scientific about this and heres what i came up with. the basic "science" of the mouse when it comes to gaming is getting from one place to another as quickly and as accurately as possible. obviously results vary amongst people however patterns usually stay the same so here is what i came up with.
relaxed hand > tense hand - this applies to almost any physical action, if youre tense you simply wont be as fluid or as fast. claw grip > palm grip - http://www.reflextest.net/reaction/letter.htm test it out yourself :D low sensitivity > high sensitivity - this one might seem like a tricky one, however, low sensitivity not only increases accuracy it also increases speed. despite this your sensitivity should not be too low. light > heavy - weight takes away reaction, this one is a no brainer imo. correction > no correction - although this has not been true until recently mainly because mice with correction (almost all mice aside from the wmo/imo/ime/omb/ikari) have had what i call "bad correction". yet, new sensors from avago (found in the new 1800dpi mx518, da, salmosa) feature very efficient correction which really does get the cursor/crosshair from one place to another faster.
all these factors are very trivial but are still factors.
* an important thing to note is that accuracy and speed have to be taken into consideration at the same time f.e. acceleration will technically get a cursor from one place to another faster however it is more random therefore it is not better. this used to be a similar problem with correction in respect to a somewhat random element.
conclusion: it all comes down to preference* using my "formula" however, i came to the conclusion that the razer salmosa is the best mouse for gaming. i do image editing therefore i have stuck with my imo 1.1ss.
Best Mouse for Gaming
Shoud i buy a IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0, a Microsoft Habu or a Razer Deahtadder?

I'm selling it because my hand is huge so I can't hold it the way I want to.

New Mx518>all
I'd go with death adder or mx518
i've used mine since they first released the DA and i still love it
