Well i got my death adder yesterday and made the mistake of installing drivers off the disk. So i installed them and restarted and everything was just peachy the first day, without firmware installed. I woke up this morning to my computer freezing at the "DELL" screen/loadbar on my XPS720. I unplug the DA and restart and it loads just fine... I login and what not, unplug my ghetto microsoft mouse and plug my DA back in, the scroll bar lights up but not the LED and i get the windows message "usb device not recognized".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times and everytime i have to restart my comp, i freeze at the dell screen with the DA in. When i attempt to update the firmware, it can not read the DA in any usb even though its plugged in....
Erm, did you overclock your mouse ports? or maybe try pluging the mouse in a different port...I've had a problem but not exactly the same as your but what I did was plug my "ghetto mouse" and when Windows loads, I unplug it and reconnect my DA, hope this works :)
best to install the drivers so you can update the firmware though. dunno what you did but i just installed drivers from razer website and then updated the firmware, then uninstalled drivers and it works perfectly fine.
i guess the point is, i am unable to restart my computer with the DA plugged in. im assuming this has to do with the firmware, because its the only thing i cant get to work. i cant even update my firmware because my computer doesnt recognize my DA and therefore it cant be plugged in to have the firmware updated.... =/

hmmm... i have updated drivers, updated firmware, and a 3.0 plugged in, along with my DA. format, and try again or completely remove the drivers/firmware.
Go in the BIOS on boot sequence or USB ports, go there and put USB to NO BOOT so it wont boot on any of ur usb devices,Ive had this prb with a printer.
i got ma da 2 months later.....i run better without any drivers stuff....but thers a prob...when playin 1.6...my pointer cpnstantly keeps going up...it dosnt stay stable at the same horizontal position lik other mouses...does this have to do sumthing with its x y sensitivity thing i cant understand what it is

after reading other posts about it, just dont install anything >.> it was just fine without touching anything.
