Headset Suggestions

I just found out that my old Icemats from before are shot. Probably because they've been in my backpack for like 3 weeks, but I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for a new, preferrably cheap, headset.

I got my Icemats for around $20 when I first bought them 2-3 years ago and they've been perfectly fine. So... suggestion something in the sub-$50 range that's decent bang for my buck.

Sennheizers are nice, if you're microphone still works for your icemat like mine do, then just buy a nice pair of headphones. They are cheaper and aren't gonna rip you off simply because they say "for the ultimate gamer." I've always used Headphones and a seperate mic, the sound quality is much better.

Thanks Game! I haven't tested it yet, but I'm pretty sure my mic works...

So... suggestions for... headphones alone and headsets (including mics, just in case)?

I think I'm looking for more of a headset and not a pair of earbuds.
Preferrably... open-air headset/headphones like the Icemats I used to have?

you can just rma your icemats and get a new pair.

It's been over 2 years since I bought them. I can still rma them even after that long?
If so, how do I go about doing that? Contact SteelSeries? Amazon? (which is who I think I bought them from)

my son got the 700s which are pretty nice if you like closed style, they dont seem to sell those anywhere now,, so the 900s must be pretty decent too!

Got AD700 because my HD595 broke (second pair) and it is much much better then them.

u'd be surprised how well they work alpha, it is a headset by the way, just not a large one

dont get a madcatz headset there rubbish get the offical ps3 ---syx-177 headset for �20 $20 its really comfartable and never breaks easily

For the 50 dollar range, steelseries 4h's aren't bad

i could almost guarantee you there aren't many headsets with better sound quality than my $20 pair of sennheiser hd 202's (well, the HD 280 headset does no doubt but those are like $200 or something).
