Weird internet problem....

So I have a WBR-1310 Router and Shaw high speed 5 MB internet, but for some reason im getting ping spikes in game but internet pages seem to load really quickly even when nobody is torrenting heres my problem.....

I should be getting 18-30 ping tops anyone have any ideas to fix it?

welcome to SHAW cable, ive tried forever to get mine fixed but im stuck with high ping DSL gl!

You should try reinstalling steam, if you haven't already. Reset your router settings. Reinstall NIC protocols such as TCP/IP.
