Question about headset

I just purchased the 5Hv2 USB yesterday. As I await them in the mail I was wondering if they will still be great headphones while plugged in to a less then good sound card. I passed on getting HD555's because I read that they are not nearly at their full potential without a good sound card. I was wondering if the USB sound card that comes with the 5Hv2 basically negates the shittiness of my current card.

ummm yeah it is a sound card so you wont be using your current sound card.

IM BETTER

the 555 are superior even with an onboard. 5H are garbage.

about your question, your sound card is not used, the USB card is.

sending back.. getting the HD555. I may have got a defective one but it always sounded like I was in a tunnel. Tried messing with settings and nothing helped

That sucks. Plantronics has some good sets. I have had my 750dsp's for almost a year now and they have been great. They are on the cheaper side but they feel sturdy and perform very well.

i am currently using the HD555's, however when i used the 5h v2's you had to tweak your sound settings a little to get the right sound.. after a short process, the 5h v2's were very nice, however i would still pick my HD555's over them.

i have a 5hv2 sound is good when i listen to music etc when i was playing cs the sound from left is coming in my right earphone =\ and the sound in right is coming in the left earphone has any1 faced this problem any way to solve it ?

HD555 > all

even though i do have the 5h bla bla bla, not gonna use it. siberias were nice for sound only. The build quality was cheap. HD555 have quality and sound espically with a X-fi card or Xonad.
