Hey there everyone im new to this forum, i saw it when i was searchign over some info about hardware on google. :p So anyway in August i am going to build myself a new powergaming computer but not only gaming, also editing photo's and building websites would be aprt of it to. Actually it has to be able to do everything at the best running pace. So this is what i came up with:

Plse feel free to give me other toughts any time :D

Motherboard:
http://usa.asus.com/products_compare_show..

Processor:
I7 - 920 (i guess no link needed the cheapest one)

And maybe scythe mugen2 or cooler master v8 as processor cooler

Graphic card: (this was supposed to be SSC edition but didnt find it on the site)
http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp.. 200 Series Family

Ram memory:
http://www.alternate.be/html/builder/prod..

Harddisk:
Samsung spinpoint f1 1TB
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hd..

Power:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Cooler..

+LG Blu ray and Dvd burners

Case : Antec 1200 http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.p..

Thas about it good for 1700 Euros, wich would be +- 2400 dollars.

So what do you guys think of it?

#2 electronic parts in europe are way overpriced :x

For heatsink i would suggest Xigmatek Dark Knight s1283v http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm.. ( cheaper here idk about europe ) or ( top of the line ) Prolima Megahalems http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8807/cp.. or Thermalright TRUE http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7542/cp..

ty for the fast comments, but ive been thinking? With that Antec 1200 case, is it really worth getting a cpu cooler instead of using its original cooler? i mean won't the case cool the hardware enough?

If you dont plan on overclocking stock heatsink will be enough. But temps might get high at full load so just to be safe i would recommend you that xigmatek dark knight. It's pretty cheap and it keeps my i7 920 C0 stepping overclocked to 3.6 in high 30's at idle and after 1 hour of running prime 95 it's in high 50's so i'm pretty sure it would keep your cpu at stock speeds in lowmid 50's at full load.

scythe mugen 2 is an awesome cooler, and it's got the best price/performance ratio for performing just as well as the top heatsinks for about $40 (36.99 on newegg). it's just really big. it's like a huge box hovering over your cpu.

#11 i think SSD means: Solid State Disk. Basicly a hard drive that doesnt spin.

Ya, SSDs are way overpriced and expensive. Not really worth the premium you have to pay. Only if you truly have lots of money to burn.
