I remember reading something where samsung over a certain period of time, their monitor quality degrades because of using cheaper parts. Would it be a better decision just to wait for samsungs new 120hz monitor?
Ok thanks for that. One more question. Say they do come out with a 1920x1080 resolution 120hz monitor, will it scale right with say 800x600? I seen lots of people having no problems with that on the 2233RZ(even though, they use keep aspect ratio and have black bars.)
it does various hz at various rez, 1680x1050 is max, but I playing on 1280x720@120, so it does 16:10, 16:9 and 4:3, the image isn't as good on low rez as you'd expect but it's still imo the best LCD for gaming atm.
Atm the best lcd out there, but not worth a buy if u still use a crt. @Pondfiller, u have 4 options for the Refreshrate: 60, 100, 110 and 120Hz.
Using fixed aspect ratio in nvidia drivers works fine, except for when does drivers act buggy again. When I play a video in Media Player Classic I have to reboot to get the aspect ratio working again. That and the nvidia driver sometimes forgets to save your option of "aspect ratio scaling".
Btw what makes me wonder, aspect ratio scaling works fine in nvidia drivers, but there's this option called "Image Size" with Auto or Wide. I was expecting this to do the aspect scaling when set to auto instead of doing it through the drivers but somehow it doesn't do anything for me.
i deff wanna get this monitor but im sure better ones will be coming in the next few months (asus as announced their 120hz). where did you guys order yours though?
2233RZ to buy or not
the reason they use cheaper parts is because they outsource it and it's reproduced by a crappy company or something
what's wrong with this monitor? :(
i dont have the link thought
i have the 2233RZ, good buy.
u can do 1680x1050 @120hz like u can do 800x600 at 120hz
the only difference is that at 800x600 its stretched
my 2233RZ 800x600 120hz

This solves it, just add it to the registry.

if you buy it now, or 3 years down the road, its going to be a genuine samsung panel now.
they stopped doing this after the 226bw.
Just keep an eye out and you can save yourself $100.
