Ok, I am looking to make a high-end computer, and I feel like now is a good time with the prices to be seemingly cheap. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck and I don't want to exceed $1,000, but if you feel like an extra hundred or so would greatly improve the computer, please do include an alternate. I live in Canada, so please post using a site like ncix or tigerdirect. THANKS!
Ps: this will be used for gaming.
Also, post a good monitor to not included in the $1,000.

Ok, here is some information we need to better suit your needs:
Do you need to buy an OS system?
Which games do you currently play on and what games are you planning on playing?
Also, I would HIGHLY suggest waiting at LEAST one more month to make your purchase. Why is that? Well brand new generation of cards are coming out by October that include the latest Direct11x hardware. Also, new CPU's and motherboards are coming out around the same time as the new line of ATI cards. And you can't forget about Windows 7. Even if you didn't want the latest and greatest hardware coming out, it'll definitely make current hardware prices drop.
ok ty for that, #2. I will wait then for the time being :\ I don't want to spend a lot of money just to have it depreciate in value in a month lol. I want to play Modern warfare 2 and I might pick up on an MMO. Uhh for the OS I will use XP or windows 7.. I do not have my own copy.

Smartest thing do to is wait for the end of October; just two more months! The whole PC market is going to be very exciting with all these new hardware and softwares coming out.
You should be OK to buy a PC monitor now if you wanted as their is nothing new coming out any time soon from what I know.
And do you ONLY play CS 1.6? If not list other games you currently play and what games you will be playing when they are released.
Oops sorry, should have read your post more carefully. You have a budget or anything specific looking for a PC monitor? LCD/CRT, resolution, size of monitor, ect ect
Three great budget monitors listed above. Higher the resolution, the nicer your gaming experience is going to be; as well as meaning a better graphics card with it. Viewsonic has 16:9 which is ok for gaming, but just giving you some options to looks at (it also supports higher res).
oh yeah OS's cost a shit load -_- and read my post #9 you could of course swap a couple things, with that build you'll easily get 150+fps in mw2/cod4 i'll try find you a better monitor not as big. sec http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp..
I wouldn't go down the 16x9 road, 16:10 is the best option ESPECIALLY if you want to game. Most development teams make their games for 16:10 monitors, not 16:9. And since they make it for 16:10, it's not going to run very nice on 16:9 monitor.
