which one should i get? i know the 4890 is better but is the performance that much better for the extra $50 or so? i'll be playing on a 24" monitor and playing games such as modern warfare 2. both will be the 1gb version. which should i get? o_o
can you explain whats so great about the 4870 harlE? i know it's a good card and it was going to be my choice of GPU, but i'd assume the 4890 is better o_o
the 4890 has better specs of course but uses more power so it runs hotter. for the most part both are not too far apart specification wise but you get what you pay for. if the 4890 is in your budget then get it. if not get the 4870. the 4890 is about 9-10% faster then the 70 but the difference isnt enough to make a big difference fps wise in games. im sure it will be like 7-13 fps difference between the two cards in newer games.
Modern Warfare 2 shouldn't be any more demanding than Cod4, so the ati 4870 1gb should serve you fine. Just make you have plenty of case fans and cooling and just overclock the hell out of this gpu.
