Well, you've picked Crossfire-ready motherboards only so far but if you're low on money you should go with a single card motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp..
Keep in mind that it is not a 100% chance that you will unlock all 4 cores, even 3 cores. When AMD fks up, they don't have to throw away the X4, They can make it a X3 or X2. Either way the X2 is still very fast, unless you into video rendering and everything.
harle pls

Something like that. You can switch the case/hdd/video card if you want but I'd stick with that ram/cpu/motherboard combination.
Good luck =]

It has two 80mm fans and one 120mm fan, pretty good for a $30 case.
It even has a side-panel.
Google "unlocking phenom 550"
The BIOS you need to flash the 770-UD3p is BIOS F2C
Trust me, I know more than you do and there's solid reasoning behind every part I select.
and harle, is the 770-ud3p the only mobo that supports unlocking extra cores?
Either way the X2 550 in terms of stock performance is in-between the E7500 and E8400, so it's far from bad, and it's easy to overclock.
and harlE, i keep hearing that the e8400 and intel chips close to that model can OC much better than the 550 be?
#31 Barely noticeable, dead socket anyway.
People are still on the E8400 bandwagon =]
There's no reason to go Intel unless you're getting an i7..
