If you did any research on the Phenom II 550, you'd know it's actually a quad.

The BIOS you need to flash the 770-UD3p is BIOS F2C

Trust me, I know more than you do and there's solid reasoning behind every part I select.

Keep in mind that it is not a 100% chance that you will unlock all 4 cores, even 3 cores. When AMD fks up, they don't have to throw away the X4, They can make it a X3 or X2. Either way the X2 is still very fast, unless you into video rendering and everything.

The X2 550 unlocks 95% of the time, it's just that people are retarded and forget to flash their BIOS.

Either way the X2 550 in terms of stock performance is in-between the E7500 and E8400, so it's far from bad, and it's easy to overclock.

I have a hd radeon 2400pro on my current computer. if i buy the crossfire motherboard would the 2400pro and 4870 go well together?

no, your 4870 would run as fast as your radeon 2400pro lmao. and you'd need a crossfire ready mobo.

and harlE, i keep hearing that the e8400 and intel chips close to that model can OC much better than the 550 be?
