imagine the monitor as exactly like a crt but with richer colors. bought one and i'd say it was one of the best transitions i made coming from a crt to lcd

scruff does cs look alright at 800 with black bars? was there anything fancy you had to do with calibrating or anything to get the colors right? do you have to go through any options to choose the fastest response time?

joe i actually use 640 with black bars so im sure 800x600 would look a lot better, i used to use 100hz on my crt and the 120hz makes everything nice and smooth, CS is an ugly game however but it runs great, for the fastest response time just make sure you have drivers installed and everything is 120hz, theres even an option in nvida where it says use highest refresh available so everything uses 120hz and you dont have to use reforce or anything, calibrating wise the monitor is super bright on default but you can change it

i didn't really calibrate anything it was just plug and play for me. and from what i've heard these monitors run better with nvidia cards from what i can recall but i don't know why. so if you have an ati card my recommendation is to do some research..

what about playing at 120hz with Vsync enabled? is there still a mouse lag/acceleration as in 60/75hz?

in games like cod2 & cod4, to get best graphics we have to set fps to 250 and anything below that like 125 or 100 is little laggy, but then 250 requires higher internet speed and also not many people can get stable 250 fps

How does this monitor compare to the new 120hz LCD viewsonic one?
