viewsonic vx2265

Anyone have it? Like or Dislike? And anything special you did to make it work beautiful?!_!

some guys said that only after they installed the drivers it worked nicely

If the vx2265 is the 120hz lcd, all the reviews I read said it works fine but it lacks options to customize the picture quality.

the only complaint I have with it is that you can't adjust the backlight at all in 120hz mode, so even at low brightness/contrast the monitor is quite bright.

other than that it seems to be superior to the 2233rz because of the 0 input delay. the complaint about a lack of an OSD is pretty weak considering that you can just tweak color/contrast/brightness settings through your video card.

hm #5 i use 100hz so ima keep it w/ that so i should be fine w/ that?

to any1 that has this monitor : do you know if it can do 120hz on other resolutions , or is it just native reso ?

i can do 120hz on every basic css resolution

can also use fixed aspect ratio and get 120hz but I dont see why you'd want to see less in-game

i thought i heard a problem with doing the scaling and such and getting 120hz with an ATI card, but with my nvidia card it works perfectly

#8 you are not seeing more with distorted aspect ratio.. you are just stretching pixels.

#10 i don't know exactly what you mean by distorted aspect ratio, but I'm referring to players who choose to use 800x600 with black bars when on a widescreen monitor

too bad my comp sucks too much for 1680x1050 :(

I just add 1280x1024's ratio is 5:4

I don't have this monitor but i'm wondering if you can get 120 hz in 1.6 on 640 x480 rez because i don't think you can with the samsung 2233rz

btw i have windows 7 which the samsung 2233rz can't do that and i'm wondering if the vx2265 matters what OS you have

#15 i have the 2233rz and windows 7 and not a problem at all, i get 120hz at all resolutions.

#18 hmm thats really weird i read on this thread http://www.gotfrag.com/cs/forums/thread/4.. #17 explaining why vista or windows 7 couldn't get 120hz on any rez except the native resolution. Maybe its because i only have windows 7 beta?
