If the sensor is good, that thing might actually be worth buying. Which is a bit sad, considering that it has been less than a week since I got my DeathAdder.

Now i have an ikari optical, i had an ikari laser and didn't like it, i'm confident that the new laser technology will make the difference, so i will buy the qpad mouse.
Looks decent and has a very good sensor, I liked the Ikari so this mouse might fit me although the shape looks more extreme and possibly forces palm grip more.
2 CPI buttons sounds pretty useless if you can only set 2 CPI values and unfortunately these 2 buttons aren't bindable.
Adjustable liftoff distance (it's a sensor feature but SteelSeries and Logitech don't let the user set it) doesn't make sense imho, who wants a higher lod? Just set it to the lowest value like SS and Logitech do, but on the other hand it doesn't really hurt.
I will wait for some reviews/user opinions and might give it a try.
LOL, i am nerd. I dont trust reviews, everyone got their own taste of what is "good" or "bad" , I already got the 1.1, the 3.0 , the Da, the MX518...the wmo today I got money from work and Ive ordered the XAI, the KINZU, the Qpad5K, and the Kone, (and also the ikari optical, the shape looks good and never have bougth it before) but until now what fits the best for me is either MX518 or 1.1, hard to believe that a non-gaming mouse like 1.1 still competes for the n1 mouse through all these years. considering it was never intended for gaming. 1.1 is legend and rigthfully so.
but Im eager to test how the sensors and overall feel of the XAI and the Qpad5K are. they have very similar spesificasions (hmm, the same sensor, just in different body? ) neither Steelseries or qpad has really "made" these mice, theyre just bougth it from asia (the models they liked, with "correct" speccs etc and put their label on it) anyway I dont bother so much about that, it has allways been like that with previous gaming-grade mice and some of them are pretty decent in-game too.
its really LOL that I bougth all these since I never even got used fully (by that I mean "perfectly") to the DA, it shure is better at everything vs the 1.1 and 3.0, but even at 3/11 or 450 dpi, the feel was just too wild. I hope i can fine tune those mice better, or that I like the shapes of them so good. if not, then theres allways ebay :)
but I will laugh so much If the 1.1 or 3.0 still is king, and ill let u less money blessed amigos know from a 1.1 / 3.0 /mx518 user, if those new mice really are the shit, or if theyr just more than what is ever going to be needed. but I have high expectations and really believe they have made it this time ( not like Ikari laaser or any post-xai/5K laser mice :P :P :P ) cArN has already switched to XAI from DA, so these mice have somthing rigth going on...
edit: I do already own the sidewinder, 2020, G-5 and 4-5 otehrs lasers and razers i dont remember the names rigth now, but those i mentioned first that I already own, those where the only ones that I personally "accepted" as good enough mice for CS, the others has just not been the real deal to me. ps: I apologize for grammar and spelling, and btw this is my 1st post on gotfrag, il let u know what I think about these mices as soon as I get them ( oct 20, alot of time i know, buit i will receive 5 mice , and I post my personal thougths about them from a Random casual CS player like me, maybe its valuable to someone idk ) , if i switch over, or if I just go back to the good ol safe and winning formulas of the past ;)
looks pretty cool. as far as the laser sensors getting better... i always spend time arguing that having the best sensor for tracking is so important, which is why i love the da. but i really cna't see the need to be able to move 6.0 m/s, i dont think the human hand/arm is capable of that is it? at least not on a mousepad haha
Jep, G500, G9x, QPAD 5K, Xai and Speedlink Kudos have all the same sensor (Avago ADSN-9500), at leat on the hardware level.
You don't just buy the mouse in Asia and put your Logo on it, at least SteelSeries doesn't do that, not sure about the 5K but I doubt it cause I have never seen a similar mouse. Unlike big companies like Logitech and MS (and probably Razer) SteelSeries and QPAD possibly don't do everything "in house" and outsource things like firmware and software programming.

yea, I can reach over 5 m/s but that are not the speeds you play with :D
If you need to move your mouse 5m you obviosuly will need like 0.1111111111111 sens and you will be running across your 5 meter table LOL with your 42 inch TV

1. QPad products are always expensive
2. They didn't provide any mouse dimensions
