I just bought an ime 3.0 and i tried overclocking it to 500hz. At first, it was constantly ranging from 499-500 from the mouserate.exe, after playing some cod4, the reading was spiking from 600-700. I scrolled up abit on the readings and i even saw 3000+hz.

Is this normal? Also, does it spoil the mouse faster?

Thanks

Update: Change usb ports, no difference. 499-500 before playing games, 500-600 after playing games.

Or is it mouserate.exe's fault?

hidusbf my friend, hidusbf. doesn't require a restart, only overclocks the usb port that the mouse is plugged in andworks with all OSes.

#1 how many usb devices have you got plugged in? go to device manager and see if your mouse shares the same usb controller with any of them

I tried the da at first, but i didn't like the slippery sides so i sold it off. With the da, mouserate.exe was reading from 500-700 but ime 3.0 was only 500-600.

Uhh, i've got 3 usb devices if thats what you meant, mouse, keyboard, speakers.

I presume this 500hz thing is not normal?

my question is, my wmo worked at constant 1000 hz on my old computer, but my new one it can only hold constant 500 hz. If i set it to 1000 hz it alternates between 500 and 1000 every single reading.

so it just goes 500 1000 500 1000 500 1000, can this be fixeD?

unplug the mouse then plug it again

the range is always random depending on how fast you move the mouse.. if you move it slow enough it reads as like... 30hz even if u have it overclocked to 1000hz. It only maxes out when you are moving it fasssttt.

I know about that. After starting up the comp, the range is from 499-500. But after playing some games, it become 500-600.

See the picture (don't mind the average, i was scrolling up to find the 'spiked' hz)

#6, mouserate works fine for IE3.0, I know about 5 people irl that haven't got one single problem with it... -.-

Are you moving it in a "circle movement"? Are you using mouse acc in windows?

Try this... You change back to 125hz, change usb port, restart your computer, go up to 500hz again and try it. Disable mouse acc' and have the sensitivity right in the middle in the Mouse options.

Yea, i was moving it in a circle movement. I unchecked "enhance pointer precision" thing already. I think i used the cpl mousefix as well.
