deathadder + 9HD will give you an accuracy increase of 43.25% at max (minimum of 26.77%).
you can already expect an increase in headshots and frags if you play cs / css or cod. if you were dropping 20 bombs on scrims, you will inevitably hit the 25-28 frags per half by combining the deathadder and the 9HD.
The Deathadder adds a lot of deaths to your enemies while the 9HD multiplies by 9 the pointing precision of those frags.
#2 I believe your theory is a bit wrong. When I tested it I got a accucucary increase of 200% and minimum of 100% I got 38 frags on average with the 9HD instead of 19 frags with any other mouse pad.
The only hard pad you should consider buying are steelseries sp(which can be called an upgraded s&s and is more durable), qpad ct or func pad. Don't go with razer and I can assure you that a lot of pros use SP MJE, the whole mibr team, 3 players of e-stro, dsn, spawn(used to),zneel etc.
the_godson... Can you test the DeathAdder's lift off distance??
Set it on top of a CD, and if it can't track, then the mouse has a 1 mm lift off. If it can track one CD, but not 2 CD's then the lift is 2.4 mm 3 CD's = 3.6 mm
etc.
I already know the DeathAdder has a 2.4mm or 3.6 mm lift off on the SteelSeries SP, so I'm not interested.
The Kinzu was a pretty big fail as far as I see it. SteelSeries hyped their mice up so much and their first released of the series is a bomb. It is plagued by wire defects, positive acceleration, and a relatively low malfunction speed for a lower sensitivity player.
I hope the Xai is better, because SteelSeries is batting .000.
SX sucked, silicone coated mouse pad? Can you say skipping? Scared to just remake the same old Steelpad with that shape and rubber bottom, and call it the Steelpad 5S 3S and 4S were awesome pads, but the SX sucks, and there's no where to get a good, plain, old, classic Steelpad anywhere.
What good SS product has there been since then??? SP? They could have just redone the bottom of the S&S like they did with the SP, and it would have been so much better. Ikari mice? High lift off, malfunction speed is low... WoW mouse? Just lame.
They discontinued the 4D, one of their best pads...for these HD pads, and I don't know if they're any good or not. Probably not I imagine, since they probably aren't any better than a rough SP, nothing like a 4D at all. Now the Kinzu sucks, and the Xai most likely won't be any better.
SteelSeries used to be awesome.
Steelpad 3S, 4S, 4D, 5L, QCK Heavy - all great pads. Special Series IME 3.0, and IMO 1.1 - great mice.
Now, the new SteelSeries, they have done some good things. It's not 100% bad. Steelpad 5L - now all black Icemat - renamed SteelSeries Experience - great move, way cooler.
I bet you they went out of business, or got bought by a corporation, or some stupid crap like that. Before it seemed like they were gamers for gamers. Now it seems like they're trying to make money off of that image that people remember.
At least if the SteelSeries 4/9HD have a 1 mm lift off with the DeathAdder, we'll be moving in the right direction again.
#23 if u want low liftoff for a deathadder you might have to search alot and get the old everglide dkt pad or razer mantis control. And yeah most of the ss products sux but the SP and 5L are great mousepads and experience too.
best way to get a low liftoff distance with the DA is to change the UV LED in it for a red one. really makes wonders. I wonder why they even put the UV light there in the first place...
That's true, but I have no solder experience. : ( Razer Mantis Control gives higher lift off for the DA than any SteelSeries pad...and yea, 5L and Experience were made by the old Soft Trading Company. SP is by the new SteelSeries, and like people have said, there's like no difference between it and the S&S, except the rubber base on SP, and the sleeker form factor of the S&S.
a friend just got the 9HD and Kinzu bundle. I am not sure if he still has got his DeathAdder, but I can ask him to test it for you if he does. he's not available right now but I'm sure he will be later today.

Anyone have SteelSeries 9HD?
The Steelpad 4D gave the DeathAdder a 1mm lift off distance, and has been discontinued and replaced with the 4HD pad.
I no longer have a DeathAdder to test the 9HD/4HD pad with, and really can't afford the pad at this point anyway.
Anyone have any info's??

...wtf @ number 2...I ask about lift off distance, and he goes off about accuracy.
You get it yet?

cheaper too
At least you tried though.

That's important too.
