I promised I would make a Kinzu video review showing my positive acceleration videos, and I did. I made this at 4:30AM before going to GXL. It was filmed on my Creative Vado HD, and I do know it has a stuck pixel on it. I am hoping it will go away and I don't have to RMA it.
UPDATE: SteelSeries HAS answered my support ticket and they acknowledge that the positive acceleration is a problem. This is good, it means I have a defective unit! I still do not suggest to buy this mouse yet until the issues are resolved, which I will keep you updated.
How could this mouse have so many problems. Didn't SS know this mouse would come under the scrutiny of hardcore gaming enthusiasts? Are they really that stupid or is it something else?
#3 It looks like I am going to go back to my 1.1 and use a different button to jump with besides the scroll wheel.
#4 Their Ikari mouse had a lot of problems with them as well. Their optical version had a faulty USB cable and their laser version had a ridiculously low malfunction speed.
I play with 2.9 sensitivity on 400dpi 500hz and i have no positive accel maybe a little negative accel but thats cause of the sensor being to far up or something.
same as #10 for me, it locks up sometimes. no positive or negative accel.
I have not tested it for accel on a cloth surface since I don't like playing with those, but I can do that and update in a while. I have the same mousepad as you lying somewhere I believe... the QcK heavy right? I have the qck+ moon limited edition too which I can test on.
good review, covered pretty much everything but the grip? the texture for the grip? how's that? do your hands sweat at all? and can you still grip it when sweaty?
SS has always advertised perfect gaming mice but their mice have always had issues... ikari shape is completely retarded not to mention the problems with the sensors. And their support has been complete sht too... thanks for letting us know nothing has changed so we don't have to bother trying their new stuff ._.
I bet more people than not would experience the same results if they actually tried it. I think the mouse is either made like that or SteelSeries has a lot of defective units.

#18 Like I said, SOME people get the negative/positive acceleration, some don't. SteelSeries KNOWS it is a defect and is working on a fix according to Jonas from SteelSeries.
after u use this mouse ALL other mice will feel TOO BIG and TOO HEAVY. they just need to patch the software on this mofo... still the best mouse ive ever used.
what a shame. my only problem so far is it turns off like once a day for 10 seconds. and I managed to hit the malfunction speed but it felt like my arm broke in the process.
I did have doubleclick issue but it's back to normal now. guess it has to do with uneven pressure all over the button or something... haha I'm tired sorry

Thanks,

This is my first upload to YouTube, so I have no idea how long it may take.
Ah well. Krait is still the best mouse. :)

I believe I answered the grip in the YouTube page.
I think the reason why so many people are getting so many different opinions is because a lot of people are probably getting defective units.

Jonas answered your support ticket?
Yes, a support representative named Jonas answered my ticket.

I think a patch should be able to fix it, but if it is with the actual optical sensor then you will need to RMA once they fix it.
#23
Yep, I am trying to go back to my 1.1 but it feels so big now.
#24
Like I said, some users are experiencing it and others aren't. I would say it's 50/50.
