I've got a SP at the moment, I've only had it a short while, but it's awesome. I've also got a 9HD ordered, but it's coming with my xai so I haven't been able to use it yet :D

sp is similar to the s&s. 9hd is similar to the older 4D pad. both are fine im sure. ive only used the sp and its great has very low friction and glides nicely.

#6 sp is similar to S&s but it is definitely better than s&s it has a nice rubber base and is faster than s&s meaning it has a very low amount of friction if not zero. the surface of the sp is much rougher as well. Plus sp is more durable than s&s.

i would suggest the sp because it is optimised for optical mice of every kind it doesn't work with laser mice however. Since u have a 1.1 cogu, solo, ton, fnx, bit, spawn, dsn all used 1.1 with sp.

in my experience s&s > sp in durability. I liked the SP over all in feel and speed but I gave up on hard mouse pads when my last SP lasted 2 months before it wore out.

#9 i couldve sworn i saw solo play with ms3.0 and some other mousepad @ ESL Dubai
#10 i attended that event and your right all fnatic players were using the Xai

im either thinking to change to a hard pad like SP or just get a new cloth such as "Puretrak Talent" what do u guys think of that?

well thats up to u since both are good pads #12. talent is a great cloth pad and the sp is a great fast hard pad. what sensitivity do u use in cs? hard pads tend to be made for people with higher sensitivities. thats why they are small and have less friction for quick movement. but a cloth pad can be used for low or high sensitivities. there are plenty of players that use cloth pads with a high sensitivity including f0rest and get right. both of them use qcks with mouse skates and apparently it works out for them. i think if you are used to cloth pads already then stick with that. if wat u want is to have somewhat of a higher sensitivity then maybe try the talent and use some mouse skates on your 1.1. the 1.1 can give neg accel at low sensitivities so its probably best to use it at a med-high sens and try out some skates on it for a nice glide. but in the end a low sens and a 1.1 can be fine too. u can always train ur self and adapt to the negative accel i think. another reason i suggest cloth is that at least it wont wear down as fast as a hard pad will. and it also wont wear out your mouse skates for a very long time as opposed to a hard pad which will do that in a few months. i read n0thing who uses a sp said that he replaces his SP about every 4-5 months. so if it lasts 4 months then your buying a new pad 3x a year and unless money isnt an issue i think that would kind of suck. with something like that talent it will last u a few years im sure unless u really mess it up by spilling something on it. even so i hear u can machine wash it and make it feel like new again. oh and btw before the hard pad wears out youll probably replace the mouse skates before that so thats something else you will need to buy a few times a year along with a new pad.

take yur pick!

what #13 said. with plastic pads you are continuously adjusting, since the surface and the skates are wearing down a little every day. I have a SP, but I don't like it.

Try the Talent.

Solo often switches between the 1.1SE and the Old silver 3.0

and he often switches between hard pad and soft pad... so meh his config remains pretty consistent though.
