Hey i recently bought this monitor which i thought would be a huge improvement from playing on my laptop coz of the 120hz

but when i run cs i notice some jittering/tearing
how do i know if im running at 120hz in game at low res?
coz i can't tell the difference even when i switch back to 60hz in option and since i've heard alot of discussion about not being able to get 120hz at certain res i really wanna know how to fix it.
running windows 7 with an nvidia ( card if that makes any diff )
I try in pubs

when you hit the top menu button on the right of the panel, and then go "up" it'll tell you what Hz it's currently running at.

i heard windows 7 has a tough time recognizing higher hertz, but put -freq 120 in your CS launch options

when you set a custom resolution in windows 7 theres an option for the type of refresh it uses i believe. I dont remember what you need to set it to to get the 120 but I know there is a thread about it in the hardware forums somewhere.
