i'm surprised zegermans didn't put that card in it for entry level instead of x800xl :o
also, all guides will be getting weekly facelifts. so keep checking back.
very good read for future computer builders...it gives you a good idea of what upgrades are necessary and good ways to cut costs.
why couldnt you have put this out like 3 weeks ago
id have saved almost 200 dollars and most of this is my current specs anyway
NewEgg > everyone else
Great Read.
Nice work though.
Right now the x850xt is only like $170 at newegg, which will own those lower-mid range cards that gotfrag has.
Also, the Opteron series is superior to Athlon 64, due to better overclockability. You can easily get 400 mhz on stock voltages and stock heatsinks. 600-1ghz OC's if you get a better heatsink or water cooling (Opteron 144 or 165). They should have replaced every x2-64 with the opteron equivalent. It's basically a little more money for far more performance if you spend a few minutes in the bios.
Overall, I would have to say I am kind of dissapointed in this article.
