Recently, GotFrag Hardware was able to receive and review samples from the Razer Pro|Solutions lineup. Let’s take a look at Razer’s latest product and see how it performs. ![]() Since 1999, Razer has made a name for themselves in the user input industry. Opening their operation with the Boomslang, they have consistently built quality products. This consistency and strong product lineup have earned them many awards over the last 6 years. Their latest addition is no exception. Packaging As soon as the package arrived, I tore it open to check out what we had inside. The mouse came in a perfect cube shaped box. This cube is the perfect size for such a component. Many other manufacturers package their products in large obtrusive boxes that are unattractive and awkward. The mouse pad was securely padded between two pieces of mold foam. I am not going to dwell on this too much, but I thought it was worth adding that the products were packaged nicely, attractively and securely. Initial Reaction As I removed the products from their boxes, I began to bask in their gleaming white glory. The mouse is light, but felt substantial enough and of a quality build. The mouse pad is double-sided hard coat on an anodized aluminum base. I was very please with how sturdy it felt and the professional look that both products portrayed. My only worry with the color of the product was how quickly that look would be marred. Like many gamers, I have been smoking for years and was worried of what kind of effect that would have on the white products. Furthermore, I was afraid that a scratch or small amounts of dust would quickly make me a bit obsessive compulsive about cleaning. |

nice review though :P
*shrugs*
My MX 510 works fine.
Interesting that the mousepad is rigid like that, I prefer a pad that I can roll up or toss into my computer bag and not worry about it getting bent and what not.
Looks amazing, but knowing Razer, its probably worth the same as your firstborn child.
stop smoking then kekeke
this is indeed just a diamondback and an exactmat, when I've tried it I was sure razer simply came with a white version for their standard products. the mouse is indeed nice to hold and use, but I like my mx510 the better.
and whether they wanted a new look or not, this package looks Much better than the usual razer prodcuts, never liked those colorful and shiny designs (and yes, I'm saying that as someone who owns a shiny blue mouse ^^)
hmmm mouses???
My choice to use the plural mouses rather than mice was based on the fact that to my knowledge at the time from the conversations I had here at GotFrag, mouse stood for Manually Operated User Selection Equipment. If you pluralize any acronym, you add an S. However, your comments made me take a deeper look into the correct meaning and origin. I found that the acronym was indeed a fake etymology and that the word mouse is not an acronym when refering to the computer peripheral. However, I found that both the major dictionaries and wikipedia support the plural form as either mice OR mouses. So well I may have been wrong in my belief about the acronym, my writing fell well within the boundaries of correct usage and grammar.
Have a good day.

If something ever happens to my mx518 then I will switch to that. Until then my 518 good enough for me.
Believe me.. you can seriously notice the difference between an 800 dpi mouse and a 1600/2000 dpi mouse. Although i havent been able to try it a very high fps :P but still man.. the difference i've noticed is rather huge.
which is true for counter-strike (on it's 640x480 and 800x600 resolutions).
but for high res desktop or games, the difference between 800 and 1600 comes into play, try using both on 1600x1200, you'll notice a huge difference...
absolutely love the speed and precision of the mouse
this mouse looks great - the white standing out with the blue :D
