Let's talk a little about the specifications. As I said previously, the above specifications are a direct list from the site. For those of you that are curious, this mouse is indeed optical and not laser. At 1600 dpi it provides what most of today's high end mouses are providing in this department. What is dpi? DPI stands for Dots Per Inch. The higher the dpi that more accurate and smooth the mousing experience. DPI measures how many discrete signals the controller chip sends when the mouse moves one inch. In other words, the higher the DPI, the more signals, and the more signals, the better quality you receive.

There are only a few mouses on the market right now that offer a 16 bit data path. One of those is the Logitech G5, which is actually a laser mouse. The always on mode is a great feature if you've ever owned a mouse that had a powersave mode. It can be very frustrating to ahve to shake you mouse a few times before it will respond. This mouse is always ready to go and is instaneous in its response to movement.

As far as the mouse pad, the only thing we will not be able to address in the specification is the gel-filled wrist rest.

Now let's take a look at the products themselves...
