The Exterior The exterior was a thing of beauty. From its brushed aluminum accents to its mesh grills, this was a nice looking case. Interesting features were the handle, the power buttons, and the "front" access panel. The handle was actually really well made. It consisted of a molded rubber handle around a canvas strap that is bolted to the chassis. This handle was not going to slip out of your hands or rip off the chassis. This gave me a feeling of security and confidence when lifting and carrying my heavy rig anywhere outside my home. The power and reset button did not reside on the front bezel, as is standard, but on the top near the front. This is one of my favorite features as I had, on several occasions, kicked either the power or the reset button. Not only did the new location prevent such things from happening, but there was also a plastic cover over each of the buttons. In true fighter jet/eject/self-destruct button style, the covers must be flipped to the side to depress either of the buttons. Lastly, in regards to the exterior, the outside is constructed, painted, and textured like government bunker or military equipment. It had a very nice look to it and was very sturdy. |
