Founding member leaves to persue college interests.
Christian "ZeGermans" Koebel has decided to take an extended break from GotFrag Hardware in order to finish his college degree in chemistry. His first article was published November 13, 2004, and has since contributed hardware articles that explained the function of every computer part in the system, as well as multiple reviews, price guides, and a computer building guide. ZeGermans made this statement :

"I'm very happy to have worked with GotFrag for this length of time, and the research I've put in to my articles has greatly expanded my own knowledge of computers. The hardware website was always a dream of mine, and now that it's finally on its feet and churning out full-fledged reviews every other day, I think I've accomplished my dream. It saddens me to have to leave, but I simply do not have time to give an honest effort to GotFrag Hardware, especially when I have my most difficult college year coming (It's the P. Chem year, for those of you unfortunate enough to share my major).

I'd like to thank all the people that made the site possible, Thomas Gribble and Stuart Grubbs especially. The three of us got this site together and even in my recent inactivity they've kept it going stronger than ever. I'd also like to thank Midway for always believing that this site could succeed and pulling for its creation. Most of all, I'd like to thank all of you for all the positive comments I've gotten. One sticks with me, which I got in GotFrag PM. I hope he doesn't mind if I post this:

"Hello, Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you.
About two months ago, I stumbled into your computer store. I'd been doing some research on a new build, and I had a lot of questions. One of those being, "what exactly is RAID"? You very politely explained the differences in the RAID arrays. I think I also asked about a TV card or something. When I was leaving, I asked if you knew of a website in which I could find more information on the subject. You gave me GotFrag's...and I now have one smokin ass computer (not to mention the knowledge of how it all works)!
You see I'm a newbie to the whole "build your own computer thing", never built one before. Sure I knew a little, but now I know 1oo times more mainly because of GotFrag. It seems that every time I logon to GF, I learn something new. This is because of the incredible staff @ GF!
Not only do you guys know what you're talking about, but you explain it in a way that even "newbie’s" can comprehend... believe me, I know.
SO, hats off to you and everyone at GotFrag!!!
Hopefully, before too long, I'll be knowledgeable enough to maybe help someone out that is in a situation that I was in.
Again, THANKS for everything!!!

Regards, *******

P.S. If there is anything I can do to help out w/ the website or anything, please feel free to drop me a line."

It's with knowing that I've through this message that I've helped you guys out that I can leave with GotFrag Hardware being a happy memory in my life. I'm not ruling out my eventual return, but it is not something that will happen soon. So finally, thanks to you all, and goodbye!"
