FPSLabs Home: First look at the new MS 3.0

GotFrag Hardware is quoted on the box as saying: �More top LAN players use the IntelliMouse [Explorer] 3.0 than any other mouse.�

Soon, the most celebrated mouse in the gaming world will be re-released in all its glory. The only differences between this and the original IME 3.0 include the following:

Darker in color.
Software update that includes the Precision Boost (One button resolution changing), customizable buttons, and the Microsoft® Intelligent Tracking System.
Improved gaming feet for less friction.
An improved optical engine that produces 9000 Frames per Second, whereas the original only captured 6000 FPS.

All in all, we believe you can expect to experience the same legendary performance you received from the original. Look for its release in September.

Too bad I've already adjusted to the Logitech's style of mouse shape. It took me awhile, too.

On a side-note, I like the fact that Microsoft is exhibiting such awareness of sites like Gotfrag and their legitimate demographic draw.

#27 My guess is Razer came to them. In an interview I read not long ago they didn't seem to care about the niche community.

THE mouse of the future, my old ms3.0 is weaing out too :D

Definitely buying one to add to my collection. MS 3.0, 1.1 SE, MX518 :p, all I need is one of those sexie as* QPAD|CT's.

I used this mouse for most of my quake 3 career, I have 3 of them. I use a g5 now, but would happily get a 3.0. Cant wait.

Microsoft also partnered up with Razer and are releasing a new mouse called the Habu in October.

Now the choices for mice are:

IE 3.0
