The Neo HE 550W

The Neo HE, being of a modular design, has 7 removable cables along with the non-removable 20/24 pin ATX connector, and the 4+4 +12V cable. The cables are as follows:
  • 2x 4 pin Molex power cables for a total of 6 possible connections with these
  • 1x 3 to 4 pin adapter for floppy drives
  • 2x PCI-E 12V for modern high-end dual graphics card solutions
  • 2x SATA power cables for use with up to 4 drives
The PSU itself has an interesting look to it. The Neo HE features a gray aluminum color almost like a matte finish. It has a feel to it that it could pretty much fit in any system without being overly tacky or stick out like a sore thumb.

The cables are similar to the Cooler Master iGreen 430W I reviewed awhile back. They are sleeved with a mesh-like material that aids in wire management and simply look better than plain exposed yellow, red and orange wires.

The back side features the AC plug-in, power switch and the 80mm fan, which blows air out of the unit. On the front side of the PSU we see the universal cable connections that will fit any of the 7 add on cables. We note that the whole front side is vented to bring in cool air from your case and out the rear fan. One side of the unit features a label with the basic specs, more air vents, and the serial number.
