Conclusion The modular cables offer an added bonus over most power supplies and the black sleeving certainly looks great with my P180B. They are easy to manage and the fact that you don’t have to use what you don’t need cable wise is a huge bonus. Hence why my floppy cable is still sitting in the box. The efficiency of the Neo should also be a consideration in this era of increasing costs for electricity in our homes. Anything that saves me money is a bonus in my book and being more efficient than your standard PSU should cut back on costs somewhat especially for someone like me who pretty much runs their PC 24-7 with shut downs only now and then. Antec has delivered on their promises once again and continued their trend of high performance and reliable products. The Neo HE series is right up there with the True Power and Smart Power lines if not better. I would certainly recommend this for almost any setup out there, which includes most of you readers, except for maybe a Quad SLi rig. It looks great, works even better, and is offered at a great price. Pros + Supports SLI and CrossFire + Excellent as advertised voltages + Modular Cables + Nearly silent operation + High Efficiency should save you money Cons - Not meant for the most extreme of setups like Quad SLI. Could use more watts for the high-end rigs. Rating 9.4 out of 10 |
