During my meeting with Antec, I was able to lay my eyes upon the successor to the P180B and several other products.
Antec is one of those few companies that has a knack for creating successful products one after another. Their previous P180b won our Editor's Pick Award and their Solo also fared well. It's safe to say that Antec make some of the best products available to enthusiasts. I was excited to see what they had to offer us.

Right away, I noticed the Nine Hundred sitting there. So far I had only seen the case in pictures. For those of you who have not heard about this case, it is one of the more interesting designs I have ever seen. It features a custom 200mm fan on the top of the case as an exhaust to quietly pull the rising hot air out of the case. This is one of the nicest cases I have laid eyes on. It looks classy and the design leads me to believe that with the right fans you could make this a really quiet machine. For more on the features of the Nine Hundred click here.

What I was really surprised to see was the P190. Antec took many of the suggestions made by reviewers across the web and created a successor to the P180b. Mafalda Cogliano, marketing executive for Antec, told me the the designer wanted to call it the P180 Extreme Edition. We are glad they stuck with the branding and chose P190. The case features everything we love about the P180b and more. There are additional holes on the motherboard tray including three straps that are attached to the back of the tray to ease the pain of cable routing behind it. Other improvements include changes in the cooling style. The side of the case features the same custom 200mm fan that the Nine Hundred features, as well as a 120mm fan on the top of the case. This is immense and does not even factor in the fans you can place elsewhere. In addition to all this, they have modified the case to house not one, but two power supplies in the lower part of the case. These are not redundant powersupplies, but they will share the workload of powering different components and equaling a total of 1200W. This is a much cheaper solution than purchasing one power supply around that wattage. The case will ship with the fans and the PSUs installed. Estimated retail price around the net seems to rumor at $400, but our guess is that will be a bit less. Also, it is important to keep in mind that you will be receiving 1200W of power when you purchase this case.

Antec also showed me their intent to ship laptop power supplies. You can read more on this here.

Lastly, Antec had a cool little number to show me (no pun intended). This is the Antec spot cooling device. This little fan can plug into any available fan plug on your motherboard and actually mounts on any of the screws that secure the motherboard to the tray. From there, it extends out on a flexible rod that you can turn and twist to aim at anything in your case for a little extra dose of cooling. This seemed pointless to me and a little gimmicky, at first. However, after discussing it with the other guys, I could see some good uses for this. You could use it to blow on the RAM, spot cool some hard drives or your north bridge. There are a number of uses for it. It also has 3 blue LEDs on it so it not only cools, but spot lights whatever it is pointed at, which is pretty cool if you want to accent any of your components.

Antec is on top of their game as always and you can look for reviews of these products in the coming weeks!
