NZXT is a relatively new name in the gaming scene. One look at their entries into the enthusiast enclosure scene is enough to make you realize they mean business. Just how good is their new "Adamas" case? ![]() Category: Enclosures Manufacturer: NZXT Product: Adamas Gallery: Click Here Price: $199.99 NZXT is somewhat of a newcomer in the field of high-end enthusiast cases. They recently sent us several of their higher end cases, in the hopes of getting their name out to the gamers. This review deals with the Adamas, which is their flagship case for the mid-tower market. We'll also soon be posting a review of the Zero, which is their full-tower product. So it's time to take a hard, GotFrag Hardware look at this Adamas case and see exactly what this company has been doing while staying under the radar. We'll split it up into three parts: commentary about the style and presentation, an analysis of how easy it is to work with, and finally, we'll explain how this case performs once everything is set up and running strong. Unfortunately, all of these are qualitative judgments, so we'll do the best we can to justify the opinions that this case brings to us. Initial Impressions Our first impression of the Adamas case came as soon as it was delivered. We almost dropped it. The reason for this was that we were expecting a normal mid-tower case, and as such, we expected it to weigh like one. We didn’t expect it to weigh as much as our monstrous Cooler Master CM Stacker. Even if we had dropped it, it wouldn’t have mattered. The case came packed like any other one you get these days -- with enough Styrofoam to keep it safe even if its air-dropped without a parachute. Underneath the foam, there was another flexible padded bag that the case itself was inside of. We pulled it out of there and beheld the Adamas in its full splendor. The first thing we do with any case review is give the thing a quick once-over, before discussing the innovative (or lack thereof) features and noise considerations. Here’s what we felt worthy of mentioning. |
